At The Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery our Board Certified plastic surgeons are specialists in facial rejuvenation and are experienced in the latest surgical and non-surgical techniques to restore your face to a youthful more natural appearance. Four components are evaluated for facial rejuvenation: skin, fat, muscle and bone. A face lift, or Rhytidectomy, is a procedure for reversing the signs of aging by removing excess fat, tightening underlying muscles and the reshaping or removal of skin on your face and neck.
Incisions for a facelift usually begin hidden above the hairline at the temples, and extend in a natural line around the ear to the lower scalp. After removing excess fat and skin, and tightening the underlying muscles, the incisions are sutured. Your surgeon may suggest other procedures to maximize your appearance goals, such as laser resurfacing, chemical peels for surface wrinkles, Botox®, Restylane®, or Isologen® to minimize fine lines on the forehead, mouth and eyes, fat injections, eyelid surgery, nose reshaping, or facial implants.
Computer imaging can allow patients and the plastic surgeon the opportunity to view a computer generated image of what you might look like following surgery and create a plan to assist you in achieving your goals.
